I’m originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where I worked as a professional ballet dancer for many years, although one of my alltime secret passions had always been to study film. Unfortunately, due to the increasing political tension, high crime rate and lack of basic freedoms, I decide to leave my country and look elsewhere for a place where I could do what I loved for a living. I took this as an opportunity to start fresh and manage to win a scholarship to study film in Barcelona, Spain. It is here where I learn everything there is to know about this medium and I develop a passion for storytelling.

Close to graduating, a couple of interesting things happen. My newly adopted dog, Bellota (pictured here), escapes the park one day and causes a traffic accident which results in a lawsuit for me (she’s fine by the way). My permit to exchange money from Venezuela gets denied so I have no money (and no job since I’m a foreign student without a work permit). That dreaded thesis deadline is getting nearer each day and on top of that, my relationship falls apart.

Those sure were dark times but I’m grateful for them because it gave me an opportunity to take a look at myself and change what wasn’t working, including my own business. I doubled-down on my strengths as a creator and all of my background as a dancer and amateur musician with my newly learned storytelling techniques to develop something unique. That, combined with some very amazing influencers who believed in me in the beginning, has resulted in an incredible business I can be proud of. I make a living out of telling my client’s stories through video in the best way for them. Check out their experiences in their own words below.
